He is also a distinguished member of the exclusive 200 MPH Club and one of only two individuals worldwide to surpass 100 land speed records. The racing takes place on airstrips, where vehicles and motorcycles sprint from a standing start to reach their maximum speed over half a mile, one mile, 1.25 miles, and 1.5 miles.
